Marketing is a very Precise Game - No guesswork Allowed

Not Everyone is Your Customer

(Even if you sell Long life and Prosperity)

You know, some people just come up with a fancy statement like "Me, my business is general. It is for everybody". There is nothing like that. If you are talking to everyone, then technically you are talking to no one.

There should be someone, or a group of people who fully resonate with your message and who it deeply affects. You see, you need to remember that it is people that you are dealing with, not machines, robots, or numbers.

People have desires, have a past story, have goals and dreams, and they are constantly being influenced by this.

So, if you want to get the attention of a person to make him listen to whatever you want to say, you need to first know what he is continuously thinking about. Then you start your discussion from there. That's how you can get his attention.

But that means you need to study him a little first.

Is he a father? What are his most dominant thoughts?

Is it making money, is it giving a good life to his little girl? Is it pleasing his boss in the office?

(You are not allowed to completely assume)

If you will ever succeed in selling anything to him, you need to know him, what he wants to achieve, or what he doesn't want to happen, and then present your product to him, as what he needs.

Already, you are seeing that everyone can't possibly be your customer, because not every father is really interested in their family, but there are some that would easily quit their jobs for their child's sake.

So who are you marketing to?

Marketing is a very precise game.

We have a product, and we find an exact group of people who need our service, then offer it to them.

Because it fits into their lives so well, they are more than happy to accept it and pay us.

You need to define exactly who your customer is first because that determines everything you will do in business. It determines what you will say, what you will do, where you will go, how you will talk, what your product will be able to achieve, and even the times you will be open.

Why? Because you are serving the customer. He needs what you have, but you need to get in front of him first.

So, what are some things you should know about your customers? And how do you get this information?

Please, get a sheet of paper and write please;

1. Who are the Customers for my business? Age range, sex, occupation, income level

2. What do they want? Final outcome, goals and dreams?

2b. Why do they want the desired outcome? Emotional reasons

3. What do they not want? Problems they're running from, issues you can make better, pain points

4. Where will you find them?

5. Who and what are the best people in the market doing? How can you replicate it, and what gap can you fill?

6. Why should a customer trust you or your product? What is special about you or your product?

(List up to 5, but let one be the strongest.)

7. What does the product do?

(In clear terms, explain what it your product does, then list up to 10 benefits of your product or service)

8. What can you say to get their attention?

9. How will your product help them achieve their goals and dreams or escape their problems.

10. What objections could they have to buying this product and how can you answer them?

11. What bonuses and guarantees can you give them?

Too many?

I'm sorry.

But I really want you to succeed and this is what it takes to be the best.

If any point is not easy to understand, just send me a message, and I will elaborate on it.

Finally, how will you get all these information?

- Your past experiences with customers

- Go to all the major business that offer the same kind of product or service your as you. Look at their sites and and stores. Note the people they are marketing to, the problems they are highlighting etc

- Go to Amazon and find top 5-10 books on the subject. Look at the reviews and listen to the complaints or compliments that reoccur often.

- Check out Quora, reddit, Facebook group comments, and YouTube video comments.
