How to Turn Strangers into Buying Customers

Have you ever been in a peace mass transit before?

I don't mean these new buses that seem a little old (at least the ones in Ebonyi State where my parents live)

I mean those new ones that are clean both inside and outside?


So, what journey did you use them for? Where were you travelling to? What is long distance?


I know that you are wondering why all these questions this early evening (or morning)?


Well, it's because I want to teach you something. Something about the psychology of why your customers decide to buy from you.


So, this is how it happens.

Let's say you are a tailor, and there are 400 potential customers in your vicinity or Whatsapp line, but only 20 of them are doing business with you. So, you start doing what I taught you in article number 4 (I will put the link at the end)


So you start doing the things I taught you - posting valuable content about fashion, clothes and styles etc.

Some people begin to get interested in your posts, and sometimes ask you questions. You answer like a friend who doesn't want anything, and they are happy


You keep posting; about yourself, about funny news, and sometimes random stuff, just so that your customers are engaged.


Now, about 40 people are now doing business with you.

You are growing, and then you make an offer and send many people to a sales page, and 60 people take your offer = more growth


You post testimonials of happy customers who got what you gave better than what they ordered.

Some other people that have not believed you since, are now pressured to do business with you.

Then you reach even more customers with lessons in Letter 3, and the rest is history.


Let me explain what just happened.

You took those customers on a journey.


From strangers to acquaintances, to friends, and then fans who buy whatever you put out. That, is the goal of every business owner - To turn strangers into friends and buying customers.


So, let me give you a simple marketing funnel that works very well.

(Funnel is simply a fancy Word for Customer journey)


1. Your Advert to attract New potential customers (through Facebook ads, Whatsapp ads etc)


2. A landing page to show what your business is about, and what you can do for them

(Sales pages are a way to present yourself and your product to your customer. It can be a full website or just a single page website) There are easy ways to do this, check youtube.


3. A way to save their numbers or establish contact (you can use Google forms or Cognito forms).


4. Continuous Content Marketing (your posts and contents etc)


5. Continuous offers and referral to your sales page.

(Sales pages are probably the biggest way to get a lot of buying customers)
